Armenian Wedding

Armenia is a small country in south-west Asia with a population of only 3 million people. But don’t go on its size because the country is really rich in history in fact so rich that most of its places are mentioned in the Holy Bible.
Most historians believe that in 301 AD, Armenia became the first country in the world to adopt Christianity as its national religion.
The Ararat mountain dominates the countries skyline and the mountain is Armenia’s national symbol.
Mount Ararat is considered holy by locals due to its mention in the Bible – it is where Noah’s Ark landed.

Remember the Word “Ararat” as you will be seeing this on everything from cigarettes to alcohol and biscuits to water.

The end of the 19th and the beginning of the 20th centuries were fatal times for Armenians. Ottoman Empire during that time planned and carried out massacres of Armenians. Historians say the genocide reached its climax in 1915-1916, by the time some 1.5 million civilian Armenians were already killed.
Till date, the Turkish government does not acknowledge the enormity or scope of these events. In fact, ”.Even now, it is still illegal in Turkey to talk about what happened to Armenians during this era.

The hotel is located right at the republic square which is the center of the city.
One of the best things about the hotel is its executive lounge. The balcony has the best seat in the town to watch the musical fountains while having a glass of wine or beer.

Memories

I hate goodbyes but every holiday which starts shall end! Still, I’m taking a part of Armenia with me to my own country with a hope to come back again, this time not as a guest, but as an old and expected friend.
